The Roca Cup
A unique sporting event, the Roca Cup has quickly become a reference in the world of wingfoiling, a rapidly growing board sport that is gaining popularity every day in France.
Innovative in its format, the Roca Cup is a true incubator of ideas, exploring new perspectives on wingfoiling with each edition. More than just a competition, this event embodies true interdisciplinarity, blending high-performance sport, community engagement, and environmental commitment.
The Roca Cup returns from April 4 to 6, 2025, with a rich and welcoming program, featuring shows, competitions, possibility to test Wingfoil gear, entertainment, and workshops over three exciting days. It’s a unique opportunity to create unforgettable memories of sport, sharing, and discovery.
With our feet in the water, the Roca Cup is also an invitation to celebrate our breathtaking coastline, shaped by the wind, sun, and waves. It’s an opportunity to share a common passion for the sea and the magic it inspires through sport.

A huge success for the third edition of the Roca Cup 2025 which took place from April 4 to 6 on Almanarre beach and brought together thousands of visitors over three days, +130 wingfoil and stand up paddle foil athletes with many innovative rounds and disciplines raced (freestyle synchro, wingfoil slalom boardercross, parawing, dock-start, stand up paddle foil and flat start), around twenty environmental and social associations (disability and women in sport), 70 volunteers, 50 public and private partners, 75 schoolchildren (primary schools in Hyères), and many artists during the free public evening on Saturday April 5.

ECO RESPONSIBLE
Wingfoil is a sport in constant interaction with nature, water, waves, wind, which is practiced on our coasts and lakes. In this context, it seems essential to us at the Roca Cup to promote respect for biodiversity in a friendly way. As well as the fight against waste, soft mobility, low-tech engineering, local food and the preservation of the coastline on this magnificent natural space that is the Giens peninsula. All while limiting as much as possible the impacts linked to the organization of the event itself. We also invite associations that work locally for the preservation of the environment to actively participate in the event, as well as athletes and the public to discover their messages and go and meet them. The Ecowave Association, organizer of the Roca Cup, also signed the "Eco-responsible charter for sporting events" produced in collaboration with WWF France in the presence of the Minister of Sports in October 2022 in Paris. The Roca Cup brings together several primary school classes upstream in order to involve young people in raising awareness about waste and protecting the marine environment (in particular through the Aires Marines Éducatives - AME tool).

EQUALITY
PROMOTION OF WOMEN'S PRACTICES IN SPORT
The Roca Cup is dedicated to promoting women’s sports and gender equality in the world of sport. Until recently, prize money in some professional competitions was lower for women, who were considered “fewer than men” in wingfoiling, and the media coverage and sponsorship opportunities were often unequal. While this trend is slowly changing, inequalities persist.
At the Roca Cup, we are committed to upholding values of respect, sharing, inclusion, and equality. This includes equal media coverage and rewards, an inclusive narrative, women in leadership roles at the event, and a strong stance against gender stereotypes. Our wish is sexism in sport to no longer be a reality.

SPORT AND DISABILITY
Sport can be a powerful tool for development and inclusion through movement. In today’s sporting landscape, the inclusion of people with disabilities remains a significant challenge, one that we are deeply committed to addressing at the Roca Cup. The self-censorship many individuals with disabilities experience when it comes to participating in sports, the fear of being judged by others, and the lack of accessible infrastructure and facilities are all realities we recognize.
We aim to take an inclusive approach, working alongside specialized organizations (such as Ufolep, Léon Bérard, and others) to ensure that this edition is even more inclusive than previous ones.
